The tagline for this book is "How the Lives and Works of England's Greatest Poets Point the Way to a Deeper Understanding of the Words of Jesus." This is right up my alley and ties in very closely with my reason for this reading project.My Thoughts
Feels like I need to re-read this one immediately. It was a lot to chew on. Andrew Klavan starts by saying he doesn’t understand some of what Jesus said. He then goes into fascinating detail about the lives of some of the best-known 19th century poets, how they inspired one another, and how they captured truth and beauty. He then concludes by revisiting the words of Jesus after having analyzed these poets. A very interesting book.
