Reason Book was Chosen: A Birthday present from my friend Adrienne. I've had this on my bookshelf for some time. This year I've decided to read all the books that I've received from Adrienne over the years. This one was on my Bookcrossing wishlist as it's part of the 1001 You Must Read Before You Die (according to the book by Peter Boxall).
My Thoughts

A brilliant novel, Steinbeck’s writing is superb not that we didn’t know that already, he’s just a joy to read. The story was pretty straight forward but the characters were great, my wife and I visited Monterey in 2015 and I could picture the setting perfectly even though it was set 88 years earlier.
