I asked author & musician Andrew Peterson what books he suggested and he said a combo of Gilead and Reimagining Apologetics, so I'm reading them back to back.

My Thoughts

A letter written from a father nearing the end of his life to his son. This beautiful novel reminded me a lot of Jayber Crow by Wendell Berry. The father is a preacher and comes from a family line of preachers. Together, they span the timeframe of the Civil War to the 1950s. It’s an account of the beauty found within the pain, struggle, and hardship of daily life.
