Reason Book was Chosen: A Birthday present from my friend Adrienne. I've had this on my bookshelf for some time. This year I've decided to read all the books that I've received from Adrienne over the years. This one was on my Bookcrossing wishlist as it's part of the 1001 You Must Read Before You Die (according to the book by Peter Boxall).
My Thoughts

A somber tale of a group of Brits trying to escape to safety during the French Indian War (1757) with the help of a scout and two Mohicans.

I found it quite difficult at first as Cooper used more than one name for most of the characters whilst telling the tale but once I became accustomed to it that was fine.

A good novel with great historical reference, I watched the film adaptation a long time ago but the book is very different from what I remembered from the film.

A good novel, one that I enjoyed and a significant one for American literature.
