Reason Book was Chosen: Lethal White is the 4th book in the Cormoran Strike series by J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. I’ve read The Cuckoo's Calling (book 1), The Silkworm (book 2) and have Career of Evil (book 3) on this Reading List . I really enjoyed the first two novels and as such I want to continue with the series and see how Strike and Robin’s characters develop and see what macabre villains Rowling can create. I will continue to read the series going forward; Rowling has stated that she has plans for at least another ten (after Lethal White). You'll notice I still credit my wife Katie for the recommendation this is due to her recommending I read The Cuckoo's Calling.
My Thoughts

The fourth book in the series,  and as such I’m not very familiar with the characters.  I really dislike Matthew, Robin should never have married him at the end of Career of Evil, but I must say I’ve not really enjoyed any of the relationship building in this novel.  Robin > Matthew, Robin > Strike, Strike > Ilsa and the portrayed “will they won’t they” theme that runs throughout the novel.

I do however really like the writing about the case,  the blackmail, the undercover work in Westminster and the social justice aspect that Freddie brings to the table all make this a fascinating read.  There are many twists and turns in the plot and this goes some way to make this an enjoyable read despite my annoyance of the relationships of the main characters.
