Reason Book was Chosen:
George MacDonald is my wife's favorite author so I try to have one book by him a year. I asked David Jack, a translator of MacDonald, on what book he suggested and he said this one. I'm going to read David Jack's version of the book.

My Thoughts

An incredible story. A speechless Sir Gibbie transforms all he comes in contact with through childlike faith. It was incredible to read this right after Jayber Crow by Wendell Berry. There were quite a few connections in the two books.
