Reason Book was Chosen: I can’t remember when I first saw Romesh Ranganathan on TV, it could have a been any number of shows from 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, to The Last Leg or Have I Got News for You but I do remember thinking he was funny and that I enjoyed his sense of humour. He’s since gone on to present his own shows most recently Judge Romesh and The Ranganation which I enjoy watching. It was in 2018 that I heard he was releasing this book Straight Out of Crawley and he would be embarking on a book tour. I found out his Manchester date and eagerly queued up in my lunch hour to meet him and buy a signed copy; it’s been on my bookshelf ever since. So when I was selecting the books for this year’s Reading List I figured this and Bert Kreischer’s Life of the Party would break things up nicely.
My Thoughts

Very enjoyable, it’s a slow burn but I read it in one sitting. I really like Romesh and this memoir is both enlightening and funny.
