Reason Book was Chosen: I was sent this in return for sending my copy of Room to a friend. Her message back to me was "Let's just say it's not for the faint hearted but it's very thought provoking and I think you may find it interesting." That being said she's Vegan and I think this may have been an attempt to get me to think about becoming a Vegan myself.
My Thoughts

My short goodreads review reads “A tense, gripping, horrific and beautiful story.” I do however find have a few problems with it 1) the jump from people going from eating animal meat to eating human flesh a bit far-fetched even if a virus caused animal meat to become inedible, 2) it doesn’t really explain how that happened apart from it was because of a worldwide government conspiracy. 3) The writing was a bit clunky in parts but I’m putting that down to translation. Those points apart I enjoyed it and it was thought-provoking as my fiend says, I definitely recommend others to read it. It hasn’t tempted me to become Vegan though.
