My Thoughts

I wasn’t sure what to write about this book when trying to explain my thoughts without sounding sexist.

Someone wrote “Many people believe that, at its core, biological sex is a fundamental force in human development. According to this false-yet-familiar story, the divisions between men and women are in nature alone and not part of culture. Drawing on evolutionary science, psychology, neuroscience, endocrinology, and philosophy, Testosterone Rex disproves this ingrained myth and calls for a more equal society based on both sexes’ full human potential.”

I’m all for equality where possible in today’s world i.e. there is no reason a Woman shouldn’t be a CEO and earn the same as a Male CEO as long as they are as successful as each other in delivering the needs of the respective businesses.  But I’m also very skeptical about the feminist left which propose that women can do everything a man will do,  Males for the most part do the more dangerous work (i.e. Armed forces, Police and Fire officers) and although many women do join these they a physically inferior to their male counterparts and we should blame Men for that it is a reality.

I did like some of the theories described in the book and the examples given, however it’s difficult to compare insects, fish and rats to humans especially when it comes to putting humans in a controlled experiment.  We’d have to put the human in the a box from birth to get a complete understanding and that’s not going to happen.

Obviously culture  makes a massive difference in the development in the human condition but there are physical difference between the two sexes and to try and negate them from perspective is insane.

Any Women out there reading this please don’t hate me.
