Reason Book was Chosen: I went to an event hosted by Manchester Central Library for the launch of this novel back in 2015. Ishiguro read a short section from the novel and then an interviewer asked him some questions followed by an audience Q&A, I then queued up and collected this signed edition and it’s been sat on my shelf gathering dust ever since. Now that I’m selecting my reading list prior to the year starting it means I can plan better rather than panicking when picking up a book to read. It’s really helped me in reading books I’ve had on my shelf for a long time that I’ve wanted to read but not actually got round too. I love Ishiguro’s writing style so I’m really looking forward to reading this.
My Thoughts

A beautiful novel. The characters and setting are great and the narration is superb.
