Reason Book was Chosen: As I’ve mentioned previously I’ve challenged myself to read all of King’s work in almost publication order (some are a little out of sync which I’ll explain in these entries as we go through). This is King's 41st published book (his 34th Novel). I’ve skipped quite a few books here as I'm reading the entire Dark Tower series back-to-back (8 novels if you include The Wind Through the Keyhole) which started with the Gunslinger which was originally released in 1982. Wizard and Glass was first released in 1997.
My Thoughts

Brilliant continuation, King uses this volume to give us a history of Roland as the gunslinger tells the story of his first love whilst camping out for the night. The back story take on the majority of the story but there are also echoes of The Stand and The Wizard of Oz throughout this story. I love the use of King’s character’s from his other novels. I’m so excited about finally reading this series it’s brilliant and yet unexpected.
