Notes:
"The Tale of Sinuhe" was mentioned in The Rise and Fall of Ancient Egypt and so it was a late addition to the reading list.My Thoughts
This is a collection of short stories. I purchased it to read the main one, The Tale of Sinuhe, and also ended up reading these as well:
- The Dialogue of a Man and his Soul (Ba)
- The Tale of the Shipwrecked Sailor
- The Tale of the Eloquent Peasant
I really enjoyed the Tale of the Eloquent Peasant. It’s about a peasant who is robbed and who pleads his case (eloquently) before the powerful. The Tale of Sinuhe is about a man with wanderlust who strays from Egypt only to find his way back.
