I don't think the Church Fathers were enamored by the idea of a tripartite soul but the dialogue named Timaeus was more pleasing to their ears. It describes creation and the beauty and order of the universe. Dante in the thirteenth century when he wrote the Divine Comedy preferred Aristotle and the unified soul.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to reading what they said. My understanding is they were talking more about Plato's idea of Recollection from having seen the Forms pre-embodiment, but I could be wrong. That's more of what I'm interested in learning about than what they thought of the tripartite soul.
