I should just give Walter Isaacson my credit card number to automatically charge me whenever a new book of his comes out. I know very little about Elon Musk and look forward to learning more.My Thoughts
I love books like this. You get a sense that what you’re reading is really important – like you’re getting an insight into crucial information. Biographies are never just about the person. You learn about history through the life of an individual. And Elon happens to be at the center of some of the most influential technological advances at this time. I’ve been asleep the past 10 years and didn’t know much about any of these – SpaceX, Tesla, Nuerallink, and others. And it’s not just about rockets and cars but the insane number of advances, with many of them coming directly from Elon’s brain. There is a lot that is disturbing about the man but as Isaacson questions, would we have the innovation without the crazy? Is it worth it? This book was different from Isaacson’s others, mainly in that the subject is still living. I feel caught up on technology yet only in a way to begin learning much much more. A fantastic and important book.
