My Thoughts

Fantastic end to an exceptional series. I started with the Hobbit coming from a lifelong distaste for books of the fantasy genre. I come out of the series with a newfound appreciation and an endearing love for this series. I was challenged to read it as though it were true and that made all the difference. Having not read the series or seen the movies, the story line was a surprise throughout. It’s a reluctant hero’s journey filled with friend, foe, and fiend to rid the world of a power that has the potential to corrupt all. In reading it as though it were true, the characters, places, and storyline made an imprint on me that seems as true as life, if not true in a deeper way.
